Private house | Estonia
This private house in the town of Põlva is the first net-zero energy building in Estonia.
Solar panels are installed not only on the roof and facade but also above the building on elevated supports, serving both for electricity generation and summer shading.
The house adapts the Passive House concept to northern sunlight conditions and stands as an excellent example of passive and zero-energy buildings in northern latitudes. Projected energy demand values are confirmed through real-time energy monitoring.
