Energy-Efficient Modernization of Production Equipment
The company I2 SIA is implementing the project “Energy-Efficient Modernization of Production Equipment” with a total budget of EUR 180,527.83, of which EU funding amounts to EUR 44,758.96. The project is being implemented within the framework of the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility plan, reform and investment direction 1.2 “Improvement of Energy Efficiency”, under investment 1.2.1.2.i “Improving Energy Efficiency in Business (including the transition to the use of renewable energy technologies in heat supply and research and development activities, including in the bioeconomy)”, measure 1.2.1.2.i.1 “Improving Energy Efficiency in Business (including the transition to the use of renewable energy technologies in heat supply)”, administered by ALTUM, in accordance with Agreement No. 214915/02.
The project предусматриes the replacement of existing inefficient production equipment with new equipment — a wood chip extraction system with briquetting unit SPANEX SMU 100 – SHB 60 and a four-sided planer with cutter head set WEINIG Profimat 50.
The project will be implemented from April 2026 to October 2026, and its objective is to improve the energy efficiency of the production processes of I2 SIA, reduce energy consumption, and promote more efficient and sustainable manufacturing operations.
Purchase of a new zero-emission electric vehicle Citroën Ë-Berlingo VAN Electric for company needs
I2 SIA purchased a zero-emission electric vehicle – Citroën Ë-Berlingo VAN Electric – for €33,050 with a capital discount of €7,609.66, under the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility’s reform and investment direction 1.2 “Improving energy efficiency”, administered by the Development Finance Institution ALTUM within the program “Electric Vehicle Purchase Guarantee with Capital Discount”.
The project was implemented from May to October 2024. The target is to drive at least 20,000 km with the purchased EV within 12 months, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
Website and digital solutions platform development
The EU Recovery Fund programme “Support for the digitalisation of processes in business” approved the application submitted by I2 SIA under contract No. 9.2-17-L-2025/261 for the development of a website and digital solutions platform. This support was necessary to digitise the creation of a new company website with an e-commerce solution.
Purchase of a wood chip-pellet boiler
The project is implemented within the framework of the European Union Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan administered by ALTUM, within the framework of the 1.2. reform and investment direction “Improvement of energy efficiency” 1.2.1.2.i. investment “Increasing energy efficiency in business (including the transition to the use of renewable energy technologies in heat supply and research and development activities (including bioeconomy))” 1.2.1.2.i.1. measure “Increasing energy efficiency in business (including the transition to the use of renewable energy technologies in heat supply)” concluded under contract No. 214915/01.
